Abstract

The paper presents a novel measurement technique of the parameters of erbium-doped fibers for modeling EDFA ampfiers in DWDM systems. A distinctive feature of the proposed measurement technique is the elimination of the effect of losses introduced by the passive components of the measuring schemes on the measurement results.
